Tropical Storm Sara continues to slowly move over Central America, bringing torrential rain that has led to catastrophic and deadly flooding and destroyed numerous homes and businesses.

Sara was forecast to drop 10 to 20 inches of rain, with up to 30 inches in isolated areas in northern Honduras. In a 7 a.m. Eastern update, the hurricane center said "heavy rain, life-threatening flash flooding and mudslides" were possible through the weekend in Central America.

Tropical Storm Sara continues to move slowly through the Caribbean, with max sustained winds of 45 mph. Sara is bringing heavy rains and gusty winds to Central America.
