COLUMBUS, Ohio — There’s a new No. 1 in the AP Top 25, but it hasn’t changed where Ohio State football sits in the national poll. Alabama, after a thrilling win Saturday against Georgia, is now the nation’s top team. Texas dropped one spot to No. 2.

Ohio State football is currently beating the Michigan State Spartans at halftime, leading 24-7. The Buckeyes have personified the bend-don’t-break defensive mindset so far in this game, but perhaps Jim Knowles will be able to pull some halftime adjustments out of his bag of tricks to really stop this Michigan State offense.

Ohio State football took a quarter to get going in its Big Ten Conference opener, but once the Buckeyes hit their stride, they never looked back. The Buckeyes beat the Spartans 38-7 on Saturday at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing to remain undefeated.
