Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu awarded Prime Minister Narendra Modi the 'Grand Commander of the Order of Niger' (GCON) in recognition of his statesmanship and efforts to strengthen India-Nigeria relations.

After being conferred with Nigeria’s highest national honour, the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that the honour will continue to inspire him to elevate the India-Nigeria strategic partnership to new heights.
